Guardian Angel Recounts On The Moments He Used To Borrow Shoes, Clothes To Attend Shows

Date:

Gospel singer Guardian angel has opened up on some of the struggles he underwent before becoming a successful musician.

Speaking in an interview with plug TV, Guardian Angel recounted on the days he used to borrow clothes from a friend so that he could attend shows.

“My expensive shoe is Kshs15,000. It is an official shoe. I did not buy that shoe because it is nice. I bought it for a photoshoot and I have never worn it again. You know when I was still struggling as an artist there was a time you would borrow shoes, even clothes so that you can go for shows.

“So there was a time I went to the one I used to borrow from but he declined to offer me his clothes saying that people had started thinking that he was the one borrowing from me. I used to borrow them and go to shows with them so when people see him put on the same clothes they would think he had taken mine,” Guardian Angel narrated.

The Nadeka singer said that now he can buy anything for himself no matter what the cost is as long as he is satisfied with it.

“I did not go to the show. I was forced to lie that I was not available. From there I told myself  the cost of a shoe does matter as long as I feel like buying I will just buy,” he said.

Speaking about politics, Guardian Angel said that he has never thought of joining and would never do so even if he is paid.

“At the point where my life is, you can’t pay me to do anything. I only do things that please me so there is nothing you can buy me to do,” he said.
