“Western Kenya Is Sealed For Azimio,” Atwoli Dismisses DP Ruto’s Frequent Visits To Western Region

Date:

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has insisted that DP William Ruto will not win the presidential elections.

Atwoli, who referred to Ruto supporters as day dreamers, said that the second in command will not clinch the country’s top position by any means.

“I said he will not and he shall not be declared as president at the polls simply because he will not win. It will not be through any machinations or anything but he will not win. He is not going to be our president this year,” Atwoli said.

He added that his(Ruto’s) frequent visits in the western region will not earn him votes. According to Atwoli, the region is firmly behind Raila Odinga and the Azimio la Umoja movement.

“The leaders of Western Kenya were seen in December and I want to assure Kenyans that the entire Western Kenya is going to vote for those candidates who will be within Azimio la Umoja.

“I want to assure William Samoei Ruto that even if he visited Western Kenya 20 times per week he is not going to get any votes from Western Kenya. Western Kenya is sealed and it is for Azimio,” Atwoli told the press.

Atwoli further told Ruto to be wary of those lying to him that they can be able to get him votes from Western saying that they are just after something.

“We are going to have rallies in each and every county and that is the time you will realize that those who might be cheating him that they will help him get votes in Western Kenya are just after something else. They are not assisting you,” Atwoli said.

Ruto has up to 40 tours lined up for him in Western and Rift Valley regions this week.
