PS Kibicho Accuses Waiguru Of Using Him As A Scapegoat To Hide Her Flaws

Date:

Interior PS Karanja Kibicho has responded to governor Anne Waiguru’s critics and calls to have him removed from office.

Speaking to Kirinyaga residents on Friday, Kibicho told Wiguru that he is not scared of her insults while blaming her for straining his relationship with the locals.

“If she thinks that she can scare me with her insults, tell her I am not the type of person she can intimidate. If she has not yet bought a dictionary of insults, I will finance her to do so,” the PS said.

Kibicho accused Waiguru of systemic graft, financial impropriety and misappropriation of office while saying that she was using him as a scapegoat to hide her flaws as a leader.

He further said that Waiguru’s approach was wrong and asked her to respond to audit queries raised by Kirinyaga residents and other investigative bodies.

“If questions have been raised on how the Kirinyaga County money was spent, let her go and answer. I have nothing to do with her financial impropriety. My office is at Nyayo House, not in Kirinyaga and hers is here, not in Nairobi,” the PS said.

Kibicho also asked Waiguru to work on her relationship with him so that he can help her secure votes in the coming general elections.

“She should actually be asking her people to talk to me nicely because I am a voter here. I can help add to her basket of votes,” he stated.

Waiguru called for the ouster for Kibicho over claims that he had neglected his duties as a principal secretary and was focusing on politics.

“I want to tell the president that Kirinyaga doesn’t lack people to employ, but Kibicho has left work in the office and gone to play politics,” stated Waiguru.
