Stivo Simple Boy’s Brothers Break Silence On His Exploitation Allegations

Date:

Word going round in social media has it that Stivo Simple Boy is being exploited by the Made In Kibera Label management.

According to the ‘expose’ that emerged on twitter last weekend, the management led by Geoffrey Oyoo was benefitting from the artist’s hard work leaving him only with peanuts.

“So it is like Stivo akiitwa show alipwe kitu ka KSh 70k, anapewa only KSh 2k. Naskia anaishi kwa nyumba ya matope Kibera,” part of the expose read.

Stivo came out to deny the allegations saying that he was being taken advantage of saying that the rumors began after the release of his hit song Vijana tuache mihadarati.

“People are saying that I am being taken advantage of, but that is not true. I want someone who indeed has evidence to what is being said to come out and assure that it is happening in truth,” Stivo said.

Oyoo also denied the claims, terming them malicious with the aim of destroying Stivo’s music career. He blamed artists who could not put up with Stivo’s success in the music industry for being behind the rumors.

“I have seen the screenshots. It is unfortunate that we try every day to bring each other down. That is propaganda being advanced by those who were not ready for Simple Boy’s success. He came to the industry and has been giving the perceived bigshots a run for their money. They have to find a way to bring him down,” Oyoo said in an interview with Tuko news.

Stivo’s brothers, Nicholas and Fredrick Adera have also come out to address the exploitation claims.

In a YouTube Video, the brothers denied allegations that their younger brother was being exploited by Oyoo and producer Flexx saying that their brother is still young in the industry.

They said that the artist is living his honest life and not like other celebrities who display fake lives.

“If I may appeal to your sense of reason, It is only recently that my brother started trending so by that estimate alone, whatever you think he could have acquired by then is not possible and let us not be lied to by the fake life other celebrities in this country are living, my brother is living his true life,” Fredrick said.

“It is not that we don’t wish him well. Even if Oyoo and the brother or the management were taking advantage of him as we have heard in social media, we two brothers cannot conspire to support them in the same,” he added.
