Former MP Kabando Wa Kabando Complains Of Being Mistreated By KTN

Date:

Former Mukurwe-Ini Member of Parliament Kabando Wa Kabando is furious after KTN blocked him during the Thursday night online interview.

The interview that was conducted via zoom featured Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, and John Kioni of Ndaragua and was hosted by Akisa Wandera.

The discussion theme was ‘Clipping on Deputy President’s powers. An idea whose time has come or political witch-hunt?’

Kabando accused the station for keeping his microphone off during the whole period yet he was present for the interview. He said that the station reached him several times to avail himself for the interview.

The former MP further complained about his photo not appearing in the poster promoting the interview.

“Wah! Hii maneno gani tena! KTN you call me 5 times today persistently requesting I be on tonight’s crossfire, via zoom, which I do. But alas! Neither on this poster nor on the microphone to speak 35min on. There’s a big problem here. Anyway, was last on KTN live 8 yrs ago,” Kabando said in a tweet.

He termed KTN’s move as unprofessional while insinuating that he was treated like that most probably because of his political stand.

“It’s a PRIVILEGE for one to be invited ANY live media interview. But it’s also a FAVOR for one to accept invite, set aside other obligations to support a media house program. KTN, why set me up in such shenanigans? I submit: it’s UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL. But I understand WHY,” Kabando further said.

The trio discussed issues about Mt. Kenya politics and the 2022 general elections.

Kabando lost his seat during the 2017 general elections after having represented Mukurwe-Ini on two terms from 2007.

In June, the vocal politician also called out on Citizen TV for ending his interview with Jeff Koinange prematurely.

Kabando was not allowed to give his final comments as it is the norm when the show is about to end.
