Mathira MP Warns Ruto Not To Greet Raila During Mashujaa Celebrations As Trouble Looms In His Backyard

Date:

Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has sent a warning to William Ruto ahead of Mashujaa celebrations where he is expected to meet his fiercest political rival Raila Odinga.

Speaking in Nakuru county in the presence of senator Susan kihika, Gachagua warned Ruto not to greet Raila as they meet in person in Kirinyaga where Mashujaa celebrations are to be held.

Mashujaa celebrations will be marked on 20th October and it’s expected all political heavyweights will be in attendance.

Gachagua warned Ruto not to greet Raila saying that he will not be comfortable with that. He claimed that every person that has greeted the ODM leader and agreed to work together has changed drastically to a bad person.

The Mathira MP gave example of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Nakuru governor Lee kinyanjui whom he claims changed for the worse ever since they agreed to work with Raila.

Gachagua alleged that since the Nakuru governor agreed to work with Raila, he started chasing hawkers and other ordinary Nakuru residents from their businesses in Nakuru town.

He warned Ruto of the same that he should avoid greeting Raila on Mashujaa Day fearing that he might change his behavior.

Gachagua’s warning comes even as trouble looms in his Mathira constituency where several youth staged mass exodus from Ruto’s UDA to Raila’s ODM.

Dissatisfied Mathira youth decided to demonstrate their frustrations with Gachagua and Ruto by joining Raila Odinga’s camp.

The move by Mathira youth comes a week after Raila was accorded a warm reception in the constituency during his visit to Mount Kenya.

Raila pulled mammoth crowds during his rallies in different towns in Nyeri, Murang’a and Kiambu counties.

In some instances, Raila’s convoy was blocked by elated residents who demanded the former Prime Minister to address them.

Raila’s Mt. Kenya tour caused political earthquake with William Ruto’s allies from the region going into a panic mode.

The DP allies from mount Kenya had been perpetrating Railaphobia and creating the notion that the former Prime Minister is not welcomed in the region.

Mathira residents extended a thunderous welcome to Raila during his visit and one woman in particular caused a stir as she went overboard with compliments for Baba.
