Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Job In Line As Underperforming Manchester United Faces Everton

Date:

Fireworks is expect this afternoon at Old Trafford as Manchester United welcome Everton FC for a match that will certain decided Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s stay at the club.

The match, slated for early kick-off (2.30 GMT), is going to be the first real test for Ole Gunnear Solskjear’s boys ever since he assembled a squad that now looks formidable to challenge for any silverware – keeping in mind that it is just less than a week since Old Trafford outfit were bundled out of Carabao Cup, thanks to scintillating effort from West Harm United.

Anytime that the two clubs meet, it brings about a fond memory of 2012 when Manchester United only wanted a point to be crowned that season’s English Premier league champions.

In that afternoon of 2012, fans were treated to an 8-goal thriller as the two sides shared the spoils, denying Alex Ferguson’s men a coveted trophy. That season, United’s neighbors – and and of late bitter rivals – Manchester City, were declared the eventual winners.

Today’s fixture, however, may look easy on paper for Untied, having been buoyed by the re-signing of their former star winger, now turned central striker, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Although United have had a bag of mixed fortune as far as performance this season’s performance is concerned, the Portugal skipper has had a brilliant return to Old Trafford, having scored five goals in five games for United.

Ronaldo’s most recent goal was on last Wednesday when the Portugal star grabbed a last minute winner against Spanish side Villarreal, in a Uefa champions League fixture.

In the premier League though, things have already started to dim for Ole’s boy – notwithstanding the fact that they had had a good start in the first couple of premier league games.

In their last game against Aston Villa at Old Trafford, fans’ hearts were dampened to the point that they started calling for Ole Gunnear Solskjear’s resignation.

The villains had a last minute header that had caught David De Gea napping, giving the visitors a deserved three points.
