Former UNCTAD secretary general Mukhisa Kituyi has been installed the Bukusu elder and spokesman months after he was caught up in a sex scandal inside a lodging.
While breaking the news to the public, Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana said that he was honored to witness the installation of the former Tangaren Member of Parliament as the Bukusu elder.
“Witnessing the installation of Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi as a Bukusu elder and spokesperson at his Tongaren home, Bungoma County. Mukhisa, Martha Karua, myself and other like minded leaders will continue to work together to build a leadership based on ideology and not who can insult the other most.” Wrote Kivutha.
Presidential hopeful Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi recently united Kenyans in a special way after a nude video purported to be him and his young lover in a compromising situation went viral for weeks.
In the video that was shared widely on the social media handles, a visibly burnt out Mukhisa laying naked was secretly taped by his catch who was enjoying a glass of wine, a clear indication that the former secretary general could have engaged in some serious marathon.
While it was not clear whom the lady recording the video was, Mukhisa Kituyi had been on the news for being sought after by the DCI following an assault complaint lodged against him by a lady by the name Diana Opemi Lutta claiming to be his girlfriend.
Diana Opemi Lutta in an OB report filed at Nyali Police Station alleged the former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) secretary-general descended on her with kicks and blows after she rejected his sexual advances.
“Assault report to the station by one Diana Opemi Lutta who has submitted a report today May 22, at around 0200 hours. She has been assaulted by a person known to her within Tamarind Village, namely Mukhisa Kituyi whom she claims to be her boyfriend,” the OB report said.
However, the incoming Bukusu elder and spokesman vehemently denied the sex scandal while blaming his political opponents to be behind it in a bid to stop him from succeeding president Uhuru Kenyatta.
“I, therefore, dismiss the photoshopped edited video doing rounds on social media purporting to expose my private parts. It doesn’t in any way whatsoever depict the true representation of my private organs. I want to distance myself from such false and untrue malicious stories destined at killing my political career,” he said in the statement.
