Roseline Adhiambo, the sister in law to the late Nakuru Dr. James Gakara has revealed that he and the wife had agreed to have a meeting in Thika on Sunday.
Apparently, the sister in law revealed that Dr. James Gakara wanted to take the kids out for lunch on that particular day and asked for the best place they could visit.
As a result, the wife wanted to come over so that they could go together but she was shocked when the husband told her to just wait since they would pick her on their way.
“Don’t come over, the children and I will pick you in Juja on our way to Mary’s place,” read the last message that Gakara sent to his wife on Whatsapp.
According to the family, these conversations happened hours before he was found lying unconscious besides his two kids who had passed on.
Besides, his wife Winnie Odhiambo even replied to the message and suggested a good place that they would go to have fun the next day.
“That very morning, they were chatting on WhatsApp and had even planned a trip to Thika on Sunday with his last message to my sister not to come over.
The nature of conversations made her dispel the rumors that the two had some marital issues as claimed by certain quarters.
“I’m not aware of any differences between the two. When we visited him at the ICU on Tuesday, my sister was even praying her husband could recover so that he could explain what happened. She stated.
The family also denied reports that Gakara’s wife wanted to dump the family and travel abroad for greener pasture, disclosing that she did not even own a passport.
“Winnie, who is a clinical officer at a local dispensary doesn’t even have a passport, you can confirm that at the immigration department.” She posed.
In the meantime, the sister is currently receiving treatment at the same Nakuru Level Five High Dependency Unit after collapsing upon learning of her husband’s death.
In another social media post, Winnie regretted that she could not protect her kids and vowed to fight for them until they got justice.
“My heart is shattered: I failed to protect you my loves. The person you trusted the most betrayed you my darlings, I promise to fight for justice for you; Go well my sweethearts.” She wrote.
