Moi’s Grandson In Trouble For Leaving Baby Mama Hungry

Date:

Former President Late Daniel Moi’s Grandson Collins Kibet Moi has been accused of trying to dodge responsibility of providing for his two kids that he sired with Ms Jeruto Tagi by presenting misleading facts about his financial status.

Ms Jeruto who sued Moi’s grandson told the court that the father of her children is in a position of providing for the kids and that he lives a lavish lifestyle.

The accused who was found to be the father of Ms Jeruto’s children after a DNA test that was conducted after he told the court that he didn’t father the children, he again told the court that he is jobless and that he is not in a position to provide for the kids’ basic needs.

The father of the two minors aged 11 and nine told the court that he could only cater for children’s medical needs by enrolling them in the National Hospital insurance Fund (NHIF).

While responding to her children’s father claims, Ms Jeruto said that Mr. Kibet is a trained pilot and that he has the resources to provide for the Kids.

The court was told that Mr Kibet drives an expensive motor vehicle model V8 Prado, which he is able to maintain.

Ms Jeruto also dismissed claims that her children’s father is broke arguing that he earns dividends from his late father’s estate.

She opposed the proposal by Moi’s grandson to transfer the children to a public school saying that it is not at the best interest of the children.

The mother of Late president’s great grandchildren moved to court in March accusing Moi’s grandson of neglecting his children, that they got in a four year marriage that was dissolved in 2012.

In a suit filed through her lawyer David Mongeri the mother of two, demanded for Sh 1 million monthly from Mr Kibet for her children’s basic needs, school fees and other expenses.

Nakuru Senior Principal Magistrate Benjamin Limo directed that the matter proceeds to a full hearing before it is determined.

The matter will be mentioned on October 13.
