Hundreds Of People Ferried To Ruto’s Rallies In Ukambani Left Stranded

Date:

Deputy President William Ruto has been accused of leaving hundreds of people stranded after they were paid to attend his rallies in Ukambani.

Ruto on Tuesday September 21st took his campaign trail to Makueni county where he drew large crowds during his tour.

The DP engaged the locals after holding a meeting with a section of Ukambani leaders where they discussed issues affecting the region.

Ruto addressed residents at different stopovers at Emali, Sultan Hamud, Salama, Malili, Makutano Chumvi along Mombasa highway.

While addressing the resident, Ruto took shots at his main adversaries by noting that they will stop those trying to change the constitution under the guise of uniting Kenyans.

In his speech, he reminded them that the next government will ensure that the low incomers and less fortune demands are considered.

The DP was received by huge crowds at the various stopovers as he campaigned in the large Makueni county.

Kibwezi East MP Jessica Nduku Mbalu however came out to blast Ruto saying he paid locals to attend his Ukambani rallies.

The MP revealed that hundreds of people were ferried from different places to attend Ruto’s rallies after they were promised to be paid Ksh1000.

Mbalu lamented that several people were stranded in Emali town after those who ferried them to the rallies abandoned them.

“Siasa ya hustler fake ni ngumu sana. They ferried people from different places promising them a 1000/= and now our people are stranded in Emali town. What you see on their Facebook pages is not what is on the ground. Wanapanga kupanga crowds kama cabbage,” wrote Kibwezi East MP.
