shame as William Ruto gets locked out of State House by Uhuru Kenyatta

Date:

It was shame beyond imagining as the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto was locked out of State House during the Labour Day celebrations.

New details have emerged on how William Ruto was on Friday barred from accessing State House.

President Uhuru Kenyatta requested the presence of the Central Organisation of Trade Union (COTU) Secretary General, Francis Atwoli instead of William Ruto.

This year’s Labour Day was scheduled to be held at Uhuru Kenyatta but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, President Kenyatta opted to hold the ceremony at State House in Nairobi.

Reportedly, the Deputy President, William Ruto was barred from attending the function in which the President was the chief guest.

“He[DP William Ruto] was willing to attend the function but he was barred from accessing State House by organizers,” said a source, who requested a condition of anonymity.

The public fall out of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto has seen the Jubilee party has two factions, Kieleweke and Tanga Tanga with the former being headed by the President while the latter being headed by his Deputy.
