Uganda Is Now Open To The World – Museveni Declares

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni announced on Tuesday that his country was officially opened to the world following months of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Uganda is now open to the world, provided the Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) are strictly adhered to,” Museveni announced.

Taking to his Twitter wall, the President said tourists and travelers planning to visit the country who have tested negative for coronavirus 72 hours before their arrival.

Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport resued commercial passenger flights on October 1, 2020, ending the five closure that was occasioned by the pandemic.

In a letter dated September 8 to the airline’s executive, Uganda Civil Aviation Authority said 13 flights, to and from the airport were cleared for operations on the first day while 10 other flights were later confirmed the following day.
