Ruto Is The Most Dangerous Person And Must Be Stopped – ODM Claims

Date:

A section of ODM MPs has come out to claim that Deputy President, William Ruto is the most dangerous person in the country and should be stopped before the 2022 elections.

The statement comes after two people during the chaos that erupted during DP Ruto’s visit to Kenol, Murang’a.

ODM leaders led by party National Chairman John Mbadi and Minority Whip Junet Mohammed accused Ruto of mobilizing the country to war should things fail to go his way in 2022.

Junet said they will not sit back and watch the DP take the country to another wave of bloodshed.

“He knows that the only option to ascend to power now that the Jubilee window is closing is through violence,” Junet claimed.

National Assembly leader John Mbadi on the other side said Ruto has been the mastermind behind election chaos that led to death and eviction of people in the Rift Valley both in 1992 and 2007.

“In 2007, as ODM we were busy looking for votes but Ruto was busy mobilizing youths to evict people from Rift Valley and when elections results were out he went into action,” Mbadi said.

“He has started again going into 2022.”

Other leaders who were present at the briefing at Parliament buildings include MPs Jared Okelo (Nyando), Gladys Wanga (Homabay), Antony Oluoch (Mathare), Paul Abuor (Rongo), and nominated Senator Gertrude Mashruve.

The leader’s sentiment comes the very day ODM party leader Raila Odinga asked political leaders to stop early campaigns while also condemning the chaos that erupted in Murang’a on Sunday.

The Opposition leader urged leaders to realize that systemic violence has plagued the country for long and Kenyans need to commit to working together to put an end to it.

“Let’s renounce the politics of violence and militarization of our youth as a means of achieving power,” he said.

“We must regard such politics as outdated and out of tune with our current aspirations to move past our divided and bitter past as a nation in favor of politics of engagement rather than confrontation.”
