Wages of eating forbidden the fruit have proved to be deadly following the mysterious demise of a 42-year old Kasarani woman which occurred on Thursday morning (September 24).
Jesica Sibwa died after developing a severe cough while in a guest room that she had booked herself into with her brother-in-law.
Sibwa, a resident of Mwiki, Kasarani, and her 45-year-old brother-in-law, John Kisongona Mareko, checked into Graceland Hotel on Dubois Road in Nairobi CBD on Wednesday 7:30pm. The two spent the night together.
Mareko, who is the biological brother of Sibwa’s husband, had travelled to the capital city from Malindi, Kilifi County earlier Wednesday.

“At around 6am (Thursday, September 24), Jesica developed (health) complications, and started coughing and vomiting. Mareko hailed a taxi, which took Jesica to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), where she was pronounced dead on arrival,” says an 8:13pm police report filed at the KNH police post under OB Number 97/24/9/202.
Brother-in-law is being held up by police pending investigation of what transpired leading to the death of Jesica Sibwa.
Sibwa’s body was moved to the KNH mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
