Another week gone,but not without enough drama.Check out this week’s entertainment stories that topped the headlines chart;
Singer Victoria Kimani has taken offence after being referred to as a video vixen by a local publication.
Victoria emphasised that she is an artiste and a creative -and not a video vixen.
“Another day, another Kenyan publication adding zero respect to my name …. At this point it is understood that I am the monthly female dartboard that all of you so-called “journalists” have WET DREAMS on slandering the hardest,” said Kimani.She says that the reference made by the publication on her is an attack on her as a woman.
“I’ve never deserved this … so I hope that speaking on it will be my official announcement that THIS IS NOT OK. You CANNOT use my image unlawfully to wrongfully attack me & paint me whatever colour you want just for click bait. Simply because I am a woman, I make music …I have my own style … I am NOT a vixen … I am an artist,” she went on.
The misrepresentation given to artistes, she says, is the reason that the entertainment industry in the country is facing numerous challenges.
Talk about sharing your blessings. On Tuesday, WCB President Diamond Platnumz rewarded a fan who blocked his motorcade begging for a brand new Motorbike to aid him put food on the table and make ends meet.
The fan identified as Njenga Mkangasa ambushed the Jeje-maker begging for a motorbike and within minutes of explaining himself his wish was granted.
Mkangasa went to an extent of kneeling down for Chibu Dangote just to pass a cross his message and make it clear that indeed he was in need of a motorbike.
His plea was received well by the WCB CEO who ordered his assistant Don Fumbwe (Rayvanny’s Manager) to ensure the fan gets the motorbike.

Back home,Former Citizen TV presenter Joey Muthengi opened up on how she starved herself, just to fit into clothes she was given to wear for her show, while she worked for Citizen TV.
Ms Muthengi said that when she landed the TV job, she stopped eating because she was under immense pressure to maintain her image, and she thought she was fine.
She pointed out that the TV job had stressed her so much, and when one of her friends sent her a picture of how she looked before the TV job, she couldn’t recognize herself and decided to quit, to focus on her health.“I got it under control for a few years after then somehow I landed on TV. Then I stopped eating at all. I looked great in those dresses they gave me but underneath I was suffering. I felt so much pressure to maintain this image that I just stopped eating. Girls in the hallway would ask me…”My God Joey how do you stay so thin?” And I would just laugh and keep it moving. I honestly thought I was fine. And that’s the thing with eating disorders. You don’t see it yourself. But others do,” she wrote.
Joey who currently works as a radio host with Capital FM mentioned that she went to Caucasian schools where being thin was a ‘thing’ and she grew up keeping herself a skinny Becky.
