65-year-old woman successfully fought off a man who attempted to rape her after she bit her attacker’s tongue until it fell off.
The sexagenarian was sleeping at her home Tsomo Mission, in the Eastern Cape, South Africa when the man sneaked in through the window and tried forcing himself onto her.
According to police report, the incident happened on 7th November and that the attacker was forcefully kissing the woman when she locked onto his tongue and bit it off.

The suspect managed to ran away after his tongue was severed and was arrested a day later while receiving treatment at a hospital.
Police in Eastern Cape revealed that the suspect is a 33 year old man, whose identify they kept secret.
“King William’s Town – A 33-year-old suspect whose tongue was bitten off by the 65-year-old woman when he attempted to rape her at her home at Tsome Mission on Saturday night, 07 November 2020 has been arrested. It is alleged that woman was sleeping alone when she was woken up by someone entering through the window. The suspect attempted to rape the woman and allegedly forced to kiss the woman. She bit his tongue until it fell down. The suspect then fled the scene. Police tracked the suspect at a hospital in Cofimvaba, where he was arrested on Sunday 08 November 2020. He is under police guard in hospital,” read police statement in part.
The statement continued;
“The suspect will appear in the Tsomo Magistrate Court soon on an attempted rape charge. Acting Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Major General Thembisile Patekile commended the swift reaction by the police and arrest of the suspect.”
