6 Politicians, 2 NGOs Linked To Violent Anti-Government Protests

Security agencies and Intelligence have linked 6 politicians, a local NGO, an international NGO and a businessman to the ongoing protests against the government.

According to a high intelligence brief, three of the politicians are from Nairobi,  2 from Central Kenya and one from Rift Valley.

The businessman is said to be from Rift Valley.

The individuals are said to be financing protestors. Apparently, they are believed to have recruited youths from Kibera and Mathare slums to infiltrate the protests and cause violence in exchange of money.

They are accused of ferrying youths to major CBDs of major towns to cause chaos amid peaceful protests that begans three weeks ago

The first politician from Nairobi is accused of hiring goons from Kibera, Mathare and Baba dogo.

The second Nairobi politician is said to have been organizing night meetings to plab for the demonstrations while the Rift Valley politician is said to have been meeting youths at his house in Nairobi to fuel the demos .

The intelligence brief further explained why there have been abductions saying that the move was intended to secure solid evidence of the suspects’ connection with the protests.

Those who have been actively participating in the anti-government protests have accused the government of sending goons to disrupt the peaceful protests, distancing themselves from the violence and looting that has been ongoing
