There is a lot more behind the beautiful faces of TV girls that have graced your screens for years, some have also been queens of radio.
A number of TV girls and those radio queens are said to have been engaged in affairs with big names including politicians, however most of the relationships were never successful and are now part of history.
Here are five TV girls who had affairs with famous politicians in the country.
Caroline Mutoko.
She previously worked at Kiss FM and Capital FM. The 49-year old allegedly dated the late Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo and was even linked to his death which occurred on April 27, 2013.
It is alleged that Mutoko was Mutula’s visitor and he had used Viagra pills that led to his death at his home in Machakos county.Â
Mutoko however refused to admit or deny allegations that she had visited the late senator saying that relevant authorities were handling the matter.
Betty Kyallo
Betty’s relationship with Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho began when she was still married to NTV anchor Dennis Okari. According to Kenya Reports, When Okari found out that the mother of his daughter was involved in an extramarital affair, he opted to divorce her in 2016, just 6 months after their colorful wedding. That was when Betty and Joho got into a serious relationship.
The governor however dumped the TV girl in 2017 after she demanded that they make their relationship public, so that she could become Mombasa’s first lady. Joho went ahead and repossessed all the gorgeous things that he had gotten for Betty including 2 cars and a house at Kilimani.
Catherine Kasavuli.
The veteran anchor worked for KBC and Citizen TV stations and had been on retirement before she rejoined the national broadcaster last year. She is said to have had an affair with the former vice president Moody Awori for some time but the allegations were never confirmed and very little is known about their affair.
Doreen Gatwiri Majala.
She worked at National Television (NTV)as a Swahili anchor. She was married to the Mwingi central MP Gideon Mulyungi. In August 2019, their relationship was drawn into the limelight after Doreen filed an assault case as well as divorce against Mulyungi.
The couple however agreed to settle the assault matter out of court, with the lawmaker compensating his wife with Kshs3 million but the divorce case proceeded.
Mulyungi allegedly assaulted her at their home in Karen on February 26, 2018 whereby she sustained injuries on her head and the back of her ear.
“Writing this with a lot of fear. My life is in danger. This evening at about 9.50pm my husband Mwingi Central Member Of Parliament Gideon Mulyungi assaulted me at our Karen Home and I sustained head injuries at the back of my ear resulting to my left ear going numb,” she shared on twitter on the fateful night.
Naisula Lesuuda.
She is the current MP for Samburu West and is married to one Robert Koltaba Kiplagat. The couple have a child together and she previously worked at KBC.
Before her marriage, the journalist turned politician is said to have been engaged in a romantic relationship with Elgeyo Marakwet Kipchumba Murkomen after joining the National Assembly in 2013.
