Maryanne Trump Barry is the latest member of the Trump family to criticize the US President, Donal Trump.
Maryanne, Donald Trump’s sister was quoted saying “Donald’s out for Donald,” and seemed to confirm her niece Mary Trump’s previous allegations that the President has a friend take his SATs to get into college as per the audio excerpts obtained by CNN.
The Washington Post first obtained the earlier unreleased transcript and audio from Mary Trump.
Mary Trump has previously claimed Donald Trump is unfit to be president and has openly supported his rival, Joe Biden.
She revealed that she has secretly recorded a face-to-face conversation with Barry both in 2018 and 2019.
In the conversation, Barry is heard describing Trump as “cruel”.
One of the most critical comments made by Barry was how her younger 74-year-old brother as the US president.
On the recording, Barry says, “His goddamned tweet and lying, oh my God.”
“I’m talking too freely, but you know. The change of stories. The lack of preparation. The lying. Holy shit.”
Barry, the former federal appellate judge at one point told her niece in the recording, “It’s the phoniness of it all. It’s the phoniness and this cruelty. Donald is cruel.”
Perhaps the most revealing part of the conversation between Barry and Mary is when she alleged that Trump paid someone to take his SATs, which was once the most publicized allegations in Mary’ book – “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created The World’s Most Dangerous Man.”
“He went to Fordham for one year [actually two years] and then he got into the University of Pennsylvania because he had somebody take the exams, ” Barry said.
“No way!” Mary responded. “He had somebody take his entrance exams?”Mary posed.
Then Barry replied: “SATs or whatever. . . . That’s what I believe,” before saying, “I even remember the name.” That person was Joe Shapiro,” Barry said.
Earlier on, in July before the release of Mary’s book, White House released a statement disputing the SAT allegation telling it “absurd” and “completely false.”

The release of the recording comes closely with the Democratic National Convention, during which Democrats and other prominent Republicans paid attention to framing the 2020 election as one about character and morality and not ideological policies. The politicians presented Trump as an amoral egomaniac who is unfit to serve as President.
President Trump will have an opportunity to respond to his critics and paint himself as a man who loves his family, as his four adult children are expected to speak at the Republican National Convention this coming week. But that task is now tough due to the candid comments of an older sister who has known the President all his life.
Barry’s view of Donald Trump is closely related to those who have worked or been close to Trump too. The former aides also described Trump in the same way, including former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, the former Department of Homeland Security chief of staff Miles Taylor and his former personal lawyer Michael Cohen, just a mention but a few.
