Deputy President William Ruto has been spotted wearing a wrist watch which is value is considered to be around Ksh.4.8 Million.
According to the photo going rounds on social media, the gold coated watch ,Audemars Piguet New Royal Oak, that Ruto was spotted wearing cost a whooping sh 4.8 Million.
Blogger Robert Alai, through his twitter page, caught the attention of the watch and posted it valuing it around ksh.100 Million.

This has attracted mixed reactions from Kenyans online. Some are criticizing Ruto while others are bashing Alai to mind his own business.
“That’s beautiful our leader should have the best.. What worries me is The goon leader who most of the times wear a blue Kaunda..that’s suspicious.. Ama ndo walimwambia kule,” One twitter wrote in reaction to Alai.
“Is that a problem?, Lack of employment amongst youths is real, unafanya youths wanaengage in non-issues… Our problem is not what he own, our problem is the government which is oppressing us economically. Wacha tupewe willbarrow tuomoke pia Kama wewe, though najua haufurahii,” Another twitter user, Mark Gitau, bashed Alai.

But Ruto is not the only politician and top government figures spotted wearing an expensive watch.
Former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich last year showed up in court with a Frederique Constant Men’s Horological Smartwatch with an alligator leather strap, metallic casing and navy blue dial.
The manufacturer’s online details show that this watch retails for 1,250 Euros, which is an equivalent of Ksh144,726.
Former PS, Kamau Thugge wore the more expensive piece, a Breitling Chronomat 44 GMT with steel strap.
The Breitling website shows that a watch similar to Thugge’s costs $13,420 (Ksh1.39 million).
Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho’s watch valued at Ksh 23.4 million, caused a stir after he posted a photo showing his expensive merchandise through his social media platforms.
In the photo, the county boss was seen wearing a Richard Mille Felipe Massa Flyback Chronograph.
According to online sources, the high-tech watch, which was a collaboration between Richard Mille and Felipe Massa brands, costs £179,995 (without shipping charges).
If you convert this amount to Kenyan shillings, using the exchange rate of 1£=129.03 then the amount comes to Ksh23,224,754.85.
