Raila Junior, son to ODM leader Raila Odinga has left tongues wagging after badly attacking his father’s party and its members.
He asked ODM to focus on basic issues and stop flouting around with private jets and attacking opponents.
“We as ODM need to find our way back to basics, we’re not just about private jets & slay queens whilst abusing rival politicians,” Raila Junior wrote on his Twitter account.
“…we have a development agenda clearly outlined in our manifesto, let’s focus on service delivery, democratic space, protecting private citizen’s rights,” he added.
His attack on his father’s party has however caused a stir on social media with former National Super Alliance CEO Norman Magaya asking him to stop acting smart.
“… In war, those who seek to sound politically correct seldom last. Stop seeking to sound the sober one in the midst of war! Attacking party cadres to look good is a new low from you. Come on,” he said.
While ODM leader’s aid Silas Jakakimba described Raila Jnr’s tweet as tabloid stories that begin with ‘Ten things you didn’t know about XYZ’…
Other Kenyans could not just sit pretty telling the debate go without comment, some Kenyans asking him to keep off politics while others were in support of his sentiment.

One Henry Ochieng said: “Thanks for speaking out on our behalf. ODMs opponents are gaining ground because they have discovered that the party has suddenly become a wolf. The popularity ODM once commanded is gone, we have lost faith. ODM is full of hypocrites who wine & dine with murderers.”
While Pngaira said,” You are right Raila Jnr… In the same way, the ruling party will be evaluated, the same measurement parameters and KPIs shall apply to the other parties. Do manifestos get manifestation after results are announced?”
And Collins Fredrick had this to say: “keep to your lane boss ~ some of us are in ODM because we love Raila Odinga, doesn’t mean we have nowhere else to go…if U have issues go to Chungwa House raise complains there – stop giving leaders orders on Twitter U a nobody in the party hierarchy!”
While another Twitter user called DD said “Raila Junior is attacking those most loyal to his father, to entertain those most dismissive of his father. Hii safari yetu ya ikulu ina nuksi mingi sana.”
Surprisingly, Raila Jnr’s attack comes just months after Mombasa Governor Hasan Joho and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed flew to Dubai accompanied by an unidentified lady in a private jet to visit his father, Raila Odinga.
Raila and his contingents have also heard most of the occasions criticizing DP William Ruto on most of their campaign trails around the country.
“It is absurd for the deputy president to claim to represent the poor. Which hustler flies across the country with fleets of cars and helicopters,” Joho a close ally to Raila attacked Ruto.
