It’s no secret that Otile Brown has become the OG of the Kenyan music after coming up with some of the country’s best hits.
The smooth RnB singer has made history after his hit song with Burundian artist Meddy dubbed ‘Dusuma’ surpassed the 100 million views on YouTube in three months since its premiere.
Otile’s song gained momentum just after its release in June and had grown to become a household banger blaring every corner of the country.
Hitting the 10 million mark is a big deal in Kenya music as it makes the second Kenyan hit to reach the milestone after Sauti Sol’s Suzzanna.
Behind Dusuma is the quarantine big tune “Utawezana” by Femi One and Mejja which was popularised by Tik Tok sensational Azzia Nasenya. It has so far garnered nine million views on YouTube.
This just shows how the Kenyan music industry has grown and the Play Kenyan Music Hashtag has helped uplift the music industry.

The singer who just released his second studio album ” Just In Love” in June was ranked by Billboard as the most-watched artist in Kenya ahead of other artists including Sauti Sol, Willy Paul, Boondocks Bang, and Khaligraph Jones.
The Mombasa-based musician’s hit collabo with Sanaipei Tande “Chaguo La Moyo” holds the record for the most-watched Kenyan song on YouTube with 20 Million views.
