Huruma Member of County Assembly (MCA) Peter Chomba is dead this after sustaining injuries in a bathroom accident.
Chomba is alleged to have died on Saturday morning, October 10, at Eldoret Hospital, after he developed breathing difficulties.
The lawmaker is said to have had an accident last week where he slipped and fell in the bathroom and was recuperating at home.
In a press briefing held in Eldoret Town, Uasin Gishu County on Saturday, leaders from the county mourned Chomba as a hardworking man who was always ready to extend a helping hand to area residents.
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi stated that leaders, friends and his family would convene a meeting later in the day at his home for burial arrangements.
“I am still in disbelief that Chomba is no more and I would like to pass my sincere condolences to the family of the deceased,” Sudi  stated.
Uasin Gishu County Speaker David Kiplagat stated that the assembly would ensure that Chomba was given a befitting send-off.
“After this briefing, we will have a meeting at the county assembly to discuss the way forward,” Kiplagat stated.
